A golf course that is very near to Sai Gon is Vietnam Golf & Country Club, which is just 12km Northeast from the heart of Ho Chi Minh City. As it is in Thu Duc district so many people usually called it as Thu Duc Golf Course. It just take golfers round 30 minutes to go there and undeniable suitable for golfers living in HCM city spend a day playing there and come back home within a day.

Vietnam Golf & Country Club is the very course throughout Viet Nam bring the 36-hole experience to golfers. The site is stretch out on over 300 hectares, divided into 2 18-hole great courses, named as The West and The East.

Designed by the Taiwanese architect Chen King Shih, The West Coast was opened in 1994. In just a short time after grand opening, it hosted the Viet Nam Open or also known as Asian PGA Tour Event.

Followed the success of The West course, The East opened 3 years later in 1997. Although it offers more generous fairways but lying behind is tough bunkers and water hazards.

In 2011 only, Vietnam Golf & Country Club held 46 tournaments with over 100 golfers for each championship. The attendees here are not golfers but are officials, authorities as well as guest from foreign countries.

As the golf course is the nearest from the city center, it is very crowded at weekends as there are at least 500 golfers spending time there, so please make sure you have made a booking before coming to Vietnam Golf & Country Club.
